Such an amazing experience, the guiedes are super professional and friendly! Everything was well prepared! We saw a lot of animals and species, the tour was amazing from start to finish, the lunch was also delicious and fuilling! Special thanks to Ismail the best guide ever, he is awsome and his wifes cooking is top quality. He even reccomended us other places to visit in Bukit Lawang and where to eat! They picked us up from the airport, we arrvived around 2:00am Ismail was waiting for us to welcome us, we didnt expect such a warm welcome! After the morning we set of for our trekk, he answered all our questions and helped us with everything! What an awsome team! I 100% reccomend!
We loved Mail as our trekking guide!!!! He was super knowledgeable about the jungle, monkeys and orangutans. His English was amazing and we got to latihan bahasa Indonesia dengan dia! Would diffidently recommend to our friends and hope we get to do another hike with him again one day!!
It had been a long-cherished wish to see wild orangutans in the jungle of Sumatra. The night before our planned adventure, it had rained heavily—which is quite normal, as December is the rainy season here and we wanted to visit a rainforest. The very next day, we met our two wonderful tour guides, Aris and his brother Fandi from Bukit Lawang Tour & Trekking. Thanks to their expert guidance, we quickly came into contact with orangutans and other monkey species. It wasn't just the orangutans that fascinated us; Aris and his brother had a lot to tell us about the flora and fauna in this part of the jungle. The hike was quite strenuous for my wife, but that was no problem: Fandi brought her back safely and was always ready to help. I was able to experience a little more with Aris. For my wife and me, this day was an unforgettable experience that we will never forget. We are very grateful to our two guides for this. We can also highly recommend the Ecolodge as a starting point for such a hike. The rainy season was no problem for us – of course, you always have to expect rain, but on the other hand, there are far fewer tourists around. We will come back, but for several days next time.

We had an amazing jungle trekking experience in Bukit Lawang, and everything was simply perfect. Our guide, Idris, was fantastic – very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. He explained everything about the jungle with great detail, and thanks to him we had unforgettable encounters: we saw orangutans, witnessed peacocks doing their courtship dance, and learned so much about the wildlife. The trek ended with tubing down the river, which was not only refreshing but also a lot of fun. On top of that, the team helped us organize both our accommodation and the taxi transfer to Medan, making the whole experience stress-free and smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip, and if we ever return to Bukit Lawang, we will definitely book with them again!
The jungle trek was such a good time. It was humid and sweaty but not too hard, and honestly really fun. The best part was seeing the orangutans up in the trees and watching some monkeys move around nearby. It felt special to see them so close in their own space. The walk itself was a bit of an adventure but nothing too tough, just enough to feel exciting. Overall, it was a great experience that I’d definitely recommend to other people

Best guide! I went on a solo day-trip and was def. worth it. We saw 4 Orangutans, lemur etc. He searched the best places to see them.
