The trek will start from Sembalun village at an altitude of 1100 m and will also take place in Sembalun village. This route will be pampered with a vast landscape, a little long path, and a bit of heat during crossing the meadow. To get to the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2.600 m, you will need a lot of stamina because you have to climb five hills that are very high and challenging.
On the second day is the struggle to reach the summit with a height of 3.726m, starting at 2 a.m. in order to get the sun rise over the summit. Of course, this is very impressive because you can already conquer the second highest mountain in Indonesia, and you capture your moment by taking pictures.

Dag för dag
- Sembalun Village SENARU VILLAGE, SEMBALUN VILLAGE (1.150 M) och SEMBALUN CRATER RIM (2.639 M) Efter frukost kommer du att förflyttas !! Var redo att åka till Sembalun by med vår speciella bergsbil. Resan till byn Sembalun tar 45 minuter till timme. Vi kommer fram cirka 8.00. Registreringen i Rinjani Information Center (RIC) är 1051 m och Post 1 (Monitoring Post) är 1300 m vilket tar 2 timmar. Vi vilar i 5/10 minuter vid Post 1 (övervakningspost) och fortsätter sedan till Post 2 (Tengengean) 1500 m i ca 1 timme. Vi tar en kort paus i 5 till 10 minuter vid Post 2 (Tengengean) och fortsätter sedan vår resa till Post 3 (Pada Balong) 1800 m i cirka 1 timme. Vi vilar i 2 timmar vid Post 3, guiden och bärarna förbereder sedan för lunch, och en varm dryck (te, kaffe, varm choklad eller citronte). Efter att ha ätit en lunch och vila fortsätter vi till Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan Sembalun) 2639M, i 3 timmar inklusive en långvarig brant stigning
- Mount Rinjani Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan Sembalun), 2639 m, i 3 timmar, inklusive en långvarig brant stigning. När vi tillbringar natten med att campa vid Sembalun Crater Rim kan vi njuta av den fantastiska utsikten där vid solnedgången och soluppgången nästa morgon: Segara Anak Lake, Sembalun Village och toppen av berget Rinjani i norra Lombok.
- Mount Rinjani Vi vaknar 02.30 om vi inte missar den vackra soluppgången och äter en lätt frukost. Börja vandringen för att gå till Rinjani-toppmötet (3672 m) kl. 03.00 i cirka 3 timmar och 30 minuter. Den första etappen är en måttlig stigning i 2 timmar, medan den andra etappen är en ganska lätt men lång vandring. Den sista timmen är väldigt brant och svår (det finns många lösa stenar, och när du tar två steg framåt kommer du att halka ett steg bakåt). Från toppen av berget Rinjani kan du se hela Lombok Island, Bali, Mount Tambora i Sumbawa och Segara Anak Lake. Efter soluppgången går vi ner till Sembalun Crater Rim och äter frukost. Efter frukost och vila fortsätter vi att gå ner till Sembalun by i 4-5 timmar, äta lite lunch i Post 3 eller 2 och anlända till Sembalun by (1 150 m) vid middagstid. Bilen väntar på att ta oss till byn Senaru, resan är avslutad

We had the most incredible experience in Senaru! The town itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning waterfalls and so much to explore. Abraham, one of our guides, met with us the night before the hike to make sure we had everything we needed, the right gear, and were fully prepared for the adventure ahead. From start to finish, everything was so well organised. The hike itself was truly magical, with incredible scenery throughout, and the food provided along the way was absolutely amazing. Our guides were so friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience even more special. If you’re visiting Lombok, this is an absolute must! We couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough. 🌿🥾✨
It was amazing ! So the taxi was waiting for us in the harbour then we slept in a wonderful hotel. The next morning, the trek started, our guide Brahim and our porter (especially Andy) was very kind and funny. We walked for one day until the crater rim, the sunset was incredible. The quality of the food and the services were very nice. So we slept on the crater rim, and we woke up for the summit at 2am. Prepare yourself mentally, I’m in good shape so it was a little bit difficult for me, but for my girlfriend it was really hard (even though, she go to the gym 1/2 times a week) . However we managed to made it to the top !!! It takes a lot of mental strength for the two days. Thanks to our guide and to Rinjanj Hero for this achievement. You can go with them whitout hesitation. The view on the summit is worth it. Prepare yourself a little bit.
10/10 experience not only for the views and nature but our trip guides from Rinjani Hero took excellent care of us and made our trip even more memorable, 100% would do it again!
Rinjani Hero was the best, we switched our hike last minute as we wanted to do the summit and it wasn’t an issue, they had it sorted straight away. The information about the hike and what to expect was great. They came to our accomodation the night before and gave us a briefing. The next morning before we left they checked our bags to make sure we packed right and then we were off. The food was incredible and Maan was the absolute best guide, he was so helpful and friendly. We hiked the summit in 2hrs and ran back down it in just over an hour, it was no problem for Maan, he checked on me constantly and made sure I was ok. Our two porters were the fantastic, it’s incredible what they do and they were so much fun to be around and always had everything ready for us- food camp etc, when we arrived at the stops. The whole team made our trip a once in a life time experience. I will book with them again, I don’t think you can get better than these guys!

The summit trek was really an awesome experience, thanks again to Joe our guide and our 2 porters who were amazing. The trek is physical but the view at the top is worth it. No complaints, everything was great 🙌🏻

Trekking/Climbing Rinjani with Rinjani Hero was an incredible experience! We did the 2 Days / 1 Night Summit trek starting on June 26, 2025, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A huge thank-you to our amazing guides and porters, who did everything possible to make the journey comfortable and enjoyable. They were always supportive, cheerful, and professional — carrying heavy loads, setting up camp, cooking delicious meals, and making sure we had everything we needed. The trek itself was challenging but absolutely worth it — the sunrise from the summit was breathtaking and unforgettable. Thanks to the whole Rinjani Hero team for making this adventure so smooth, safe, and memorable. Highly recommended!
