   We stop for endless views at the foot of Uçhisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia. Your guide shares the story of this huge volcanic rock honeycombed with hundreds of rooms and tunnels, the local pigeon house tradition and how Cappadocia was formed.    Pigeon Valley

   At the Pigeon Valley viewpoint, stretching between Göreme and Uçhisar, you will see exactly how the valley earned its name , thousands of tiny pigeon houses carved into the soft rock faces. For centuries local farmers collected the birds' guano to fertilise their vineyards and orchards. From the terrace you will photograph the valley's rippling tuff formations, Uçhisar Castle rising behind it, and the famous wishing tree hung with blue evil-eye beads. One of Cappadocia's most peaceful stops.
