The House of the Virgin Mary
Das Haus der Jungfrau Maria ist der Ort, an dem Maria möglicherweise ihre letzten Tage verbracht hat. Tatsächlich ist sie vielleicht zusammen mit Saint John in die Gegend gekommen. Dieser Ort wurde 1986 offiziell zum Schrein der römisch-katholischen Kirche erklärt und ist seitdem ein beliebter Wallfahrtsort. Papst Paul VI. Besuchte das Heiligtum im Jahr 1967. Der Besuch des Hauses (Kirche) dauert ca. 45 Minuten und nach unserem Besuch; Es wird eine 5-minütige Fahrt nach Ephesus geben.

Ephesus Ancient City
Ephesus ist ein außergewöhnliches Zeugnis der kulturellen Traditionen der hellenistischen, römischen und frühchristlichen Kaiserzeit. Ephesus ist ein wichtiger Ort für das Christentum; als eine der sieben Kirchen der Offenbarung. Apostel Paulus verbrachte wahrscheinlich während seiner dritten Missionsreise zweieinhalb Jahre in Ephesus. In zwei Stunden erkunden Sie die Stadt, indem Sie in Begleitung unseres englischsprachigen Reiseführers durch die Marmorstraßen spazieren. Auf unserer Tour werden wir Odeon, staatliche Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius-Denkmal, Domatian-Tempel, Herkules-Tor, Kuretenstraße, Hadrian-Tempel und Latriens sehen. Die Besichtigung des Privathauses (sogenanntes Bordell, „Terrassenhäuser“) ist eine optionale Besichtigung für zusätzliche 25 ₺ / Person. Ihr Führer sollte vorher informiert werden. Nach Terrace Houses werden wir unsere Erkundung mit der Celsus Library, der Marble Road, der Commercial Agora, dem Great Theather und der Arcadiane (Harbour Road) fortsetzen.

Wir werden den Besuch des Tempels der Artemis fortsetzen. Das ist eines der "Sieben Wunder" der Antike. Hier haben Sie auch gute Chancen, Fotos von der Johanneskirche und der Moschee von İsa Bey aus der besten Perspektive zu schießen.

Basilica of St. John
Es handelt sich um eine Kirche, die über der Grabstätte von Johannes (dem Evangelisten) steht und im 6. Jahrhundert von Kaiser Justinian erbaut wurde.

Isa Bey Mosque
Die Isa Bey-Moschee ist eines der besten und wichtigsten Beispiele für das Ende des seldschukischen Reiches im späten 14. Jahrhundert. Darüber hinaus trägt diese Moschee den Abdruck der Umayyaden-Moschee in Damaskus, einem der islamischen Zentren für Wissenschaftler und Gelehrte . Der Herrscher von Aydinoglu Beylik, Aydinoglu Isa bey, wollte den Glanz und die Stärke des seldschukischen Reiches widerspiegeln.

Carpets: We stopped at an outstanding, authentic local carpet cooperative, which has the absolute best, most gorgeous hand-woven silk and wool carpets you can find in the country. There was zero high-pressure sales stuff—just beautiful appreciation for high-end art and luxury goods. 🏆 THE VERDICT After weeks of traveling, this was exactly the kind of seamless, premium, stress-free day we needed. We had such a lovely tour of Ephesus with Gül! The archeological site is so stunning in person and our guide was so organized, punctual, and knowledgeable. Loved how she presented all the information and took us around while being mindful of our group's needs. Our driver Evren was also very professional and picked us up and dropped us off without having to wait long in the heat. They coordinated well together. We were picked up and dropped off at the port easily with plenty of time to spare before the gangway went up. Also the Turkish food at the co-op was so delicious. We are happy we went with Apasas!
The whole experience was excellent and very memorable! Gul, our tour guide was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable, friendly and I truly learned a lot about the history and culture of this beautiful country! I would highly recommend this tour with her as the guide!

Brilliant viewing of Ephesus, Mary’s house and The Temple of Artemis with superb tour guide Gül. Picked up and dropped off right outside the boat and there was a perfect balance of walking and sightseeing. Would recommend for those interested.
Our guide Gul and our driver Evran were excellent from start to finish. Superb communication before we disembarked the cruise ship; well structured for a multi age family group; compassionate for older members of the tour with specific needs. Visited Mary’s House, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis. Good balance of attention and free time. Offered a craft tour, but this was not forced on us when we declined. Amazing wealth of knowledge - we are now experts on Ancient Türkiye! Highly recommend.
