Visitez l'Acrocorinthe, l'acropole de l'ancienne Corinthe, un rocher monolithique à 1 886 pieds d'altitude avec 4,9 miles de murs - un donjon et trois portes. L'une des fortifications de défense naturelle les plus impressionnantes et dominantes aujourd'hui. Les vestiges d'églises, de mosquées, de maisons et de citernes ainsi que le temple d'Aphrodite qui existait autrefois peuvent être appréciés. C’est ici que paissait Pégase, le cheval ailé. De là, nous admirons également la tour franque, une vue imprenable sur la vallée en contrebas, la mer corinthienne et saronique. Visitez la source Hadgimoustafa : une fontaine construite sous l'empire ottoman en 1555 après JC. L'eau courante de la source supérieure de Pieriene a été découverte accidentellement lorsque Pégase s'est cogné le sabot en essayant de s'envoler de Velerefonte et la déesse Athéna coule encore aujourd'hui.

Visitez le site archéologique : Temple d'Apollon - l'un des premiers temples doriques du Péloponnèse et du continent grec avec des colonnes monolithiques doriques, rares dans le monde antique, construit vers 560 avant notre ère. L'Agora romaine - composée de magasins centraux, l'un des meilleurs exemples de place de marché romaine. Les petits temples et autels, les bâtiments romains, l'amphithéâtre antique, l'Odéon romain, la fontaine Glaufkus, les thermes romains, la route de Léchaion, le forum romain et le célèbre podium ou Bema d'où l'apôtre Paul a été « jugé » et présenté officiellement pour la première fois aux Grecs et aux Romains en tant que citoyen romain. We booked the Private Biblical Tour of Ancient Corinth & Isthmus Canal for two couples. Our guide was Yannis who had degrees in history and philosophy. I would book him again and suggest that others request him. He was that good. Personable, easy to understand and sensitive to the needs of our group. It was a full day packed with information, delivered in beautiful stories, shared in various locations around Corinth. I gained more insight from this tour than the previous two visits put together to Corinth. To top it off, we asked for a lunch recommendation and he took us to a delightful local restaurant right on the beach at the Aegean Sea! Could not have hoped for more from this day.

The day started with a pick up at our hotel- so convenient. We were so excited to tour ancient Corinth and experience where apostle Paul stood. Our private driver and guide was Peter. He was extremely knowledgeable in Paul’s history, shared with us Greek history which prepared us for the tour. (While driving) So it made the drive go by so fast. Peter was very kind, generous and was also interested in our country. (USA) Paul gave us time to have lunch before we headed back to Athens. On the way to Corinth we stopped at the canal, bridge, and then Acient Corinth. It was very memorable and a pleasant experience

As fellow Christians, it was encouraging to spend time with someone whose faith and character were reflected in the way he served others. He took countless photos for us, offered to send them afterward, and even provided his contact information so we could reach out with questions long after our trip was over. The sites of ancient Corinth were incredible, but Peter’s warmth, professionalism, generosity, and genuine care made this one of the most memorable days of our entire trip to Greece. If you have the opportunity to tour Corinth with Peter, do not hesitate. My wife and I give him our highest recommendation. Thank you, Peter, for an unforgettable day.

We have been to Athens multiple times and wanted to explore more outside of the city. This was the perfect tour that wasn’t too far away and offer a nice extension of history and beauty.
