E-learning will be completed in advance for the educational elements, on day one meet with instructor to review paperwork, discuss the training material that needs reinforcement. get fitted for scuba equipment & attend pool training session. Day two meet at beach for training dives 1 & 2, Day 3 meet at beach for final training dives 3 & 4 . Upon successful completion you will receive your log book & certification for open water scuba diver To qualify for this activity you must be over 10 years of age or older and have a reasonable fitness level and not have any medical conditions whatsoever. All children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent who must join this scuba diving activity. Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level and be comfortable in the water. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Charles is very experienced, very knowledgeable of the dive sites across Phuket , an ex serviceman from the UK he has dived all over the world and been an instructor since 2000. With tips about where to go in middle America and California, he even found a missing WW2 plane in Loch Ness and offered closure to the families of the fatal accident decades after the fact. Very generous with his knowledge, and I was lucky enough to have him as my personal instructor when others made the not bother with only one student. It’s the off season in phuket so many other instructors would wait until they could book multiple students on their dives. Now Padi open water certified, very confident, and having swum with leopard sharks, turtles, lion fish, and sighted many fish and corals I need to avoid to stay safe , I gotta say I can’t fault the training, detail, and knowledge I have is all down to the thorough and fun training of one very clever and talented Scottish fella. Completely unsteriotypically generous. (Sorry Charles had to remind you of the stingy Jock joke). Oh and special thanks to the boat crew , great food, friendly assistants, and awesome dive sites.
Charles from Kiwidivers was great with us. He made us feel comfortable and took us through all the tasks for our open water certification. He was very reliable and always felt that he was very organized and professional. His program gave us 6 sea dives and we had a great time and saw so much! Booked our 2 days boat diving with Kiwidivers from UK before we got to Thailand. Booking couldn't have been easier - Charles was knowledgeable and really helpful. My daughter had to complete her open water dives for Padi Open Water certification and we completed 6 dives over 2 days in some of the most spectacular locations including Phi Phi. Charles is a very experienced and patient instructor and the organisation, kit etc was first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kiwidiver Centre and Charles if you are thinking about diving in Phuket....plus the diving experience is off the scale!
When contacting Kiwi Divers, we had immediate assistance from Charles, the store manager and booked our course. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. Charles was a fantastic instructor, very detailed, and tells you the why of things and real-life scenarios when teaching the techniques, safety skills, and equipment usage. When in open water, he guides you through everything and makes you feel safe even if you have never dived before, swimming between corals, showing you really cool marine life, and taking pictures of you! I highly recommend taking the Open Water Course with him, and I can't wait to be back in Thailand to dive more and maybe do the Advanced Course with the most experienced instructor in Phuket!
I just finished my Open Water Diver Course with Charles and Kiwidivers. Charles was absolutely amazing and competent as my instructor. I had a personal 3 day session with him and i felt super safe and this made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. Charles was always extremely patient with me given that this was my first time diving. He made the process super easy and smooth. Would be recommending his center to my friends and family - would love to do my advanced course with him as well.
I am on this trip alone with my 12 year old son, I already had this on my bucket list, I felt completely confident with Charles to take care of him and me. The instructions are clear and precise and he has all the experience you can imagine, more than 20 years diving, we did all the written and practice tests in the pool, it was 3 days full time, we are very happy and grateful for this experience!!
