Topkapi Palace Museum
Surrounded on three sides by the Marmara Sea, the Bosporus, and the Golden Horn, Topkapi Palace was the imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans and home to his court and harem. The palace complex is huge and contains 4 main courtyards with beautiful gardens, an enormous kitchen, mosques, a hospital, many pavilions, and the Harem. The Topkapi housed each of the Ottoman sultans from Sultan Mehmed II to Sultan Abdulmecid, covering nearly four centuries and 25 sultans. This opulent palace witnessed the greatest glories and the most heartbreaking tragedies in the history of the Ottoman Empire. You will travel through centuries listening to great stories and uncover the secret life of mighty Ottoman sultans and their Harem.

Those was an outstanding tour, made more so by our tour guide Fatih Kelek. He was knowledgeable, personable, kind and accommodating.
We were walking the all day through the city and our guide Sedat was very nice, lovely and funny. He explained us all the important things to us. That's was the perfect tour to do when you don't stay so long in Istanbul and you want to visit the most important things.
Suliman was excelent, flexable and catered to a modest, requested change in itinenary and in our meeting place.
Highly recommend this private tour for anyone visiting Istanbul who wants real historical context and a more intimate, unhurried experience of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about the subject, weaving together stories of sultans, harem intrigue, and empire in a way that made the palace feel alive rather than just a museum. He paced the tour perfectly, giving us time to linger at the highlights — the stunning tilework, the panoramic views over the Bosphorus and Golden Horn from the palace grounds, and the sheer scale and detail of the architecture — while still covering everything efficiently. Going private was absolutely worth it. We skipped the stress of large tour groups, could ask as many questions as we wanted, and moved at our own pace. It made a potentially overwhelming site feel personal and manageable.
